New batteries need to be fully charged before first use, then you should fully charge them after every use.
Battery cables should be tightly connected to the battery post, if there is a loose connection, the battery post could melt.
Clean your batteries regularly to ensure battery cables have a connection free of dirt and corrosion. You should use corrosion preventative as needed.
Add water to batteries to fill line (above plates) when needed. Older batteries require filling more often.
Battery life is approximately 5-7 years.
When it is time for new batteries, it is best to replace the set rather than replacing a single battery. This is a good time to replace your battery cables as well.
Storage:
Fully charge your batteries before storage.
Switch PDS or IQ carts to tow, or disconnect the two cables from your batteries to the motor (not the cables that connect from battery to battery)
Remove key and put cart in neutral.
Cleaning:
Use automotive cleaner and a sponge for the body.
Use water or acrylic cleaner and a soft cloth for your windshield and let air dry.
Clean vinyl seats with Gojo and rinse (apply to a small area first if seats are made custom).
Use battery cleaner spray for batteries and rinse, do not spray water directly on electrical parts.
Gas Golf Carts:
Clean air filter.
Change oil regularly.
Replace spark plugs as needed (Usually with oil change).
Come to a complete stop before switching between forward and reverse.
Use regular gasoline, do not allow gasoline to become stale (approx. 60 days of no use).
If a tank of gas lasts you more than a couple weeks, consider using a gasoline additive to slow the oxidation process and extend storage time.
Check oil level regularly, allowing oil level to become too low is very harmful to your engine.
